As we mentioned in our newsletter our awesome /lekker friends Maximilian and Philipp Petri have won the prestigious Young Winemakers of the Palatinate award for the second year in a row. Not only that, but our launch edition Pinot Blanc was one of the wines that convinced the judges.

All our sauces, rubs and spice mixes are developed and made exclusively for Braaizeit by our lekker friend Thomas, a qualified chef who has worked in some of the top hotels, resorts and restaurants in South Africa, Malaysia and Kuwait. Thomas Schmid, his South African wife Natalie and their 2 boys, have also recently moved to Germany.
Thomas’ culinary career, a German chef who worked 20 years in South Africa, makes him the perfect choice as our partner and guru of all things sauce, spice and rub. A friendship between the Schmid’s and the Rudolph’s was also started with a braai and our combined passions for food, fire and friends has brought us together for this BraaiZeit journey.
